TYYE is a Kansas City artist who's been perfecting his approach in independent circles. He draws inspiration from artists like Glass Animals, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, and Justin Bieber. Working with local producer Braxton Medellin, TYYE has been honing his skills in home studio sessions that allow him to explore different textures and emotions in his music.

Man, Rose Petals, Flower, Red, Black, Shirt, Leather, Pants, Shoes, Floor

"whole thing" shows TYYE moving in a more mainstream pop direction while preserving what makes his music personal. The track was recorded in Kansas City at Braxton's home studio and mastered by Jackson Maddox. This isn't just your typical breakup song. It's about loving someone who was never really yours to begin with. TYYE wrote the initial lyrics during a difficult time when he was dealing with the end of a relationship that existed in that gray area between friendship and something more. The R&B-influenced arrangements provide stability to the song while electronic pop arrangements add a modern touch.

"whole thing" is the lead single for TYYE's upcoming EP, signaling a new chapter in his career. For an artist still establishing himself, this release shows artistic growth, marking the beginning of something bigger for TYYE.
