A Beech Landing is an artist born out of a turbulent chapter. This project is as accidental as it is essential. Armed with a guitar, a laptop, and a pile of bargain-bin analogue gear that wasn't even built for recording music, A Beech Landing creates something that sounds like it was assembled in the dark and somehow came out glowing.

A Beech Landing's latest release, "HERMIT," on the surface, it exudes pure bliss with its alt-rock vibe that dominated the music scene back in the 90s. Here, the song's narration also revolves around a character who seems perfect when it comes to dealing with people. He is charming and sociable, and someone who lights up any place he enters. However, slowly but surely, he starts withdrawing behind a facade. He is provided with a false sense of interaction through technology. The constant notifications, the validating likes, the never-ending group chats, while in reality he's just sitting alone in a room with nothing but a glowing screen. He knows the repercussions, but he just can't seem to help himself!

The song teeters on that fine line between being catchy and eerie, precisely where it should be. The psychedelic undertone gives the song a hint of dreaminess. "HERMIT" might just be the perfect listen for people who are addicted to screens.
