"Fast Trains" is what started as Tom Wells' solo venture and has now evolved into a band from Portsmouth, England. Tom Wells, the driving force behind Fast Trains, is a singer, songwriter and producer. Largely inspired by alt icons like XTC, Talk Talk, Radiohead, and Elbow, the band's style would be best described as indie-pop, psych-rock, and dream-pop.

Blurred black-and-white portrait of a person covering their face with both hands, framed by neon rainbow arcs and magenta symbols.

The band's latest single, "Holly Takes Me Home Again", is a nostalgic rollercoaster with an intricately layered instrumental arrangement, and pure emotions driving the songwriting.

The song starts with soft piano notes. It's simple and sweet, as the singer reminisces about their younger days. The interlude at the 39th second mark is the part that feels like nostalgia came to life. It surges through you as yearning and memories do. The vocals are beautifully unvarnished, giving the song a very personal feel.

Does this song feel like something understated and underrated? Perhaps. But it surely is remarkable. Listen to it now!
