LED elevates the Punk-rock Genre with Their Latest Banger, "Your Perfect"

The Los Angeles-based trio of Layne Olivia, Edie Yvonne and Lockett Pentz

is the perfect storm of teens making bomb music for the rock genre.

LED, as the trio call themselves, got together this spring break to create their latest single, "Your Perfect". Heavily inspired by stories of high school drama, one-sided crushes, and the pressure of having to live up to someone else's ideals, the track does a great job of reminding you of your teen years.

The bittersweet melody is accompanied by angelic vocals. It all comes together and is lifted by the bass and drums combined. The song literally took me back to when I was 19 and constantly feeling anxious about never achieving anything worthwhile. The harmony makes me imagine myself dancing to drown the sadness and expectations away. The lyrics speak of the pressures that come with life and the insecurity about never feeling enough, which plagues a lot of us in the most pivotal moments.

The bridge, however, was my favourite part, tickling the parts of my brain that I had forgotten existed! Do listen to "Your Perfect" if rock music is your go-to mood.
