Michael Cohen is a classic lover at heart, starting to dip his toes in production digitally with his iconic releases starting this year. His music is inspired by the good old classic rock scene. Taking elements from the likes of legendary musicians such as The Beatles, their music pays homage to a bygone era that helped define the music we listen to today. Their latest track, "Evil Twin" takes their music to a whole new level.

The starting lines "I would stand out here all night if you'd come out and see me...." already get you on your knees before even the track starts, setting the introspective mood just right. The lyrics delve into thoughts of regret on a fumbled relationship that ended in a disaster, and looking back, realizing, and coming to terms with your faults. The "Evil Twin" here is a metaphor of our alter egos, whom we blame for all things bad. Apart from the gloomy lyrics, the track blends a mix of bittersweet riffs and marching basslines, giving the track a nice contrast. I personally liked the rhythmic nuances where the instruments and vocals take a swing. If you wanna relive the magic of classic rock with a modern feel, Michael Cohen is your man!
