Eli Wise captures a playful lament of the human condition with his EP, "Ghosts & Logic"

Eli Wise is a songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist from the Bay Area. The artist has always felt a sense of contentment and control through his music from a very young age and is a master at creating an existential wonder in the audience. Wise is especially inspired by Amanda Palmer, Paul Simon, and The Shins. His warm yet crisp voice pairs well with vulnerable lyricism and his signature guitar riffs.

Wise breaks his decade-long hiatus with his EP, "Ghosts and Logic". It is about leaving behind the ghosts of the past and not forcing logic when emotions are involved. Inspired by the artist's own angsty experience as a trans man, the EP's main theme is basically embracing transformation and your authentic self.

The first song, "Everyone goes through something", became the closest to my heart. I have never related to anything else more! It's a playful lament on how our technologies and ADHD betray us at some point or another. Love the combination of guitars and piano notes. It's soft, warm, and truly made me smile.

The next one, "Out in the Cold", feels funky, and the last song of the EP, "I had to Choose", is energetic. If indie music fits your vibes, you'll enjoy all three of these!
