You know those songs you put on and suddenly you're not in your room anymore, you're transcended to somewhere greener and you feel somehow lighter? Yeah, "Dragonflies" did that to me on the first listen.

The Mountain is a Belfast duo. And yet, vocalist Rebecca Dow brings this mystical vocal presence that has already made waves in Ireland's indie and alternative circles, while Speers comes in with an entire career's worth of film score composition behind him. The two found each other through what they call "pure spiritual synchronicity."

"Dragonflies" is their second single back after a hiatus. The production is gorgeous: dreamy guitars, sweeping strings, and this open-sky-like feel that just wraps around you! Rebecca's vocals carry the song's whole soul. The track follows a dragonfly's journey from the mud up into the light, and thematically, it explores this idea of surrender by letting go of what you've been clinging to and just allowing yourself to be carried.

I think The Mountain is only just getting started and this release is proof enough of their talents so far. So, stream "Dragonflies" now and get ahead of what's coming!
