SoundFarm's "Suck It Up" Is the Funky, Filthy Earworm That's Got No Business Being This Good!

If you haven't heard of SoundFarm yet, let me be the one to fix that for you.

This Oslo-based group was born out of a freezing barn in 2020. It feels like the most fitting origin story for a band that sounds this raw and alive. Built around the infectious presence of vocalist Marte B. Trolldalen, guitarist Tommy, and bassist Ola, the band operates on a simple but rare philosophy: great musicians, amazing performances, incredible chemistry.

Now, onto their latest release, "Suck It Up" was born spontaneously during a rehearsal jam and recorded live. The guitar licks are pure 80s rock sensual fantasy. Marte's voice is an absolute killer through and through. Her vocals are sultry and completely hypnotic. The song is a little cheeky, a little PG-13, but deliriously catchy. It starts with a funky rock groove and just spreads like a vampire bite you didn't ask to be infected by but are now fully grateful for!

"Suck It Up" led me to immediately go down a SoundFarm rabbit hole and come out the other side fully converted. Not a single skip in their discography. Do yourself a favour and start with "Suck It Up," then just let it take you wherever it wants to go.
