Gareth Dunlop is a fairly well-known artist/record producer based in Northern Ireland,
known for his mastery over several genres such as pop, folk, soul, and even synth.
Dunlop's "Wrap Your Arms Around Me" was a part of Safe Heaven's soundtrack. Having taken to music quite early and being inspired by artists like The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Jimmy Page. The artist is known for his musical proficiency. Many of his songs also feature in well-known TV shows, including Nashville House, Switched at Birth, Lucifer, and more.
The singer/songwriter is back with his latest release, 'Small Talk', a conundrum I'm sure most of us have been through at least once in our lifetimes.
The track is Gareth's personal experience of being a socially awkward king of his family. The lyrics, "I've never been good at small talking", and "Oh no have I said too much again" convey that perfectly. The music is packed with clear guitar arrangements and a steady rhythm. It still manages to be mellow and warm at the same time effortlessly. The song is not just relatable but also has all the signs of being the perfect soft rock track on your playlist.
If you're a fan of smooth storytelling mixed with soft melodies and dynamic pop-rock elements,
you must hear this one!
