Singer-songwriter Jared Bond has been building his name in the Americana folk scene, and with "Wild Guess," he's stripping away the usual comforts and getting real about the mess we're all living in.

Man, Music, Mic, Stand, Handshake, Concert, Performance, Shirt, Tshirt, Drummer, Drums, Guitar, Electric, Bassist, Pop, Americana, Folk, Indie, Graffiti, Wall, Brick

Recorded in Jesse Kates' attic studio in Kansas City, Missouri, this track feels like Bond finally decided to stop tiptoeing around uncomfortable truths.

"Wild Guess" takes aim at our collective addiction to instant gratification, from dating apps to next-day delivery, and asks why none of it seems to be working. He's right there in the mud with the rest of us, admitting he's just as caught up in the cycle of chasing distractions instead of dealing with what's actually broken. The question in the lyric, "Do I want to love a person or ignore myself?" lands like a gut punch because most of us already know the answer.

The stripped-down production was the right call. The song debuted at The Ship in Kansas City to an enthusiastic crowd. If you're tired of songs that pretend everything's fine or offer empty reassurances, give this one a listen.
