ANDYVINCE, a Swedish independent artist who has built his whole sound around the emotional fine print of everyday life. The timing that’s off, the door that almost closes, the person who shows up right when you’d already decided to let go. His discography sounds like a collection of those moments everyone has gone through but nobody bothered to immortalise. Until now.

Man in dark coat stands in a warmly lit bar doorway on a rainy night, with stools, bottles, and an AV logo.

ANDYVINCE's “Halfway Out the Door” is warm and gliding Afro-house music that would feel incredible at a headphone only rave. The song is always moving, never slowing down which mirrors the core theme of the song perfectly, too. The production is also playing it's part in the storytelling aspect. And the story? Gosh, it’s a good one! A bartender forgets the change in his hand. Two people end up talking by a window, inventing lives for strangers passing outside, while taxis come and go and neither of them notices. I think that just might be his superpower: making you feel like the song was written about you, for you, on a night you half-forgot.
