Rachael Sage's "Canopy (Acoustic) is an anthem calling for women's power with violins instead of violence.

Rachael Sage, a musician, producer, and visual artist, has created her single "Canopy (Acoustic) in collaboration with an alt-folk band "The Sequins". The six-time Independent Music Award winner, and philanthropist provides lead and backing vocals along with acoustic guitar to their latest classic Americana Pop album "Under My Canopy".

"Canopy (Acoustic)" explores the social inequalities faced by women. Sage connects the idea of women lacking positions of power in society to the violence they are subjected to.

Along with Sage, the track also features singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Kristen Ford. Kelly Halloran is on violin, Trina Hamlin on harmonica, Andy Machine on drums, Dave Eggar on cello, and James Mastro on slide guitar.

The song is soothing, starting off with the gentle vocals of Sage saying, "If the world were run by women, there would be an end to war." The violins joining in gradually add to the track's charm. The song is peace personified. Do listen to it.
