Based out of Dublin, “Haha Hear Hear” is an alternative rock one-man band by Ruairí Connolly.
His latest track "Demons Don't Sleep" opens with a quirky arcade-like synth, that keeps you wondering what’s about to come, and you’ll surely not expect the introspective journey this song will take you through.
The lyrics talk about the restlessness and mental struggles of a disturbed individual which makes it very relatable as we all have inner demons that we can’t escape, My favourite lines from the song were “I need to talk to somebody, because talking to myself doesn’t help“ where you can truly see the vulnerability that artist wishes to portray.
The producer Dan Doherty has done an impeccable job on the drums, delivering punchy and powerful beats which serve as a perfect backdrop for the intricate instrumental arrangement of Ruairí Connolly who does a great job at wearing multiple hats, as he has played everything synthesiser, leads, bass, keys the whole nine yards, but his dreamy vocals were the highlight of the song for me. If you are a fan of alt-rock and punk you must give this song a spin immediately.
